National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Funded Psychological Therapy Services:

  • Access NDIS funded Mental Health Assessment and Psychological Therapy, including personalised Individual Counselling Sessions, specially tailored to address various mental health issues.
  • To qualify for this program, participants must be NDIS beneficiaries with allocated funding for psychological services under Capacity Building - Daily Living category.
  • Fee: AUD 193.99 per session for a Mental Health Social Worker and 222.99 for Registered Psychologist.

Care in Mind Funded Psychological Therapy Services:

We proudly offer services funded by the Care in Mind program, including:

  • Targeted Psychological Support Services (TPS): Access 12 therapy sessions within 12 months of referral.
  • Suicide Prevention and Post Intervention Services (SPS): Receive 8 intensive sessions over 8 weeks.

Medicare Rebated Sessions:

  • Eligibility for this service requires a mental health care plan and a referral from a General Practitioner, Paediatrician, or Psychiatrist. Open to anyone from the age of 5 with a Medicare card.
  • Unlock the potential of 10 Medicare-Rebated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy - Focused Psychological Strategy (CBT -FPS) sessions.
  • Fee: AUD 160 per session (Medicare Rebate Available)

Privately Billed:

  • Enjoy our services without the need for a mental health care plan, offering greater flexibility.
  •  Choosing to pay privately give you control over your sessions and there are less risks of your information that can be accessed by an insurer or legal authorities.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) - Individual and Group Therapy

  • Our DBT Individual and Group therapy program can help you develop effective skills to manage your feelings and improve your relationships.
  • Our Individual and group therapy sessions cover a range of modules aimed at enhancing emotional well-being, including mindfulness techniques, strategies for emotion regulation, methods for distress tolerance, and practical skills for improving interpersonal
    effectiveness.
  • By joining our therapy program, you can experience benefits such as learning valuable skills to manage difficult emotions and improve relationships, connecting with others facing similar challenges for mutual support, receiving feedback from both therapists and group members, practicing skills in a safe environment, and enjoying a cost-effective specialised therapy.

External Organisation Referral Pathway

Take advantage of our External Organisation Referral Service, where we provide specialised therapy sessions to clients referred by external organisations.

If any organisation you are involved with is willing to support funding for your counselling sessions, we are happy to facilitate this process on your behalf. You can discuss your counselling funding needs with your case manager associated with that organisation. If they agree to fund your sessions, please use the attached external referral form to hand over to your case manager for submission to us.

Alternatively, you can contact us directly with your case manager’s and organisation’s details, and we will work to facilitate funding options by reaching out to your case manager on your behalf.

Insight Clinic's Mental Health Services via Open Place Funding: Empowering Forgotten Australians

Insight Clinic is pleased to partner with Open Place, offering specialised mental health services funded through Open Place for Forgotten Australians. Our team of dedicated registered counsellors provides a supportive and empathetic environment to help individuals explore past experiences, address trauma, and develop effective coping strategies, ultimately empowering Forgotten Australians on their journey towards healing and personal growth. Accessing these vital mental health services is simple. Clients can contact Insight Clinic directly, providing their details. Insight Clinic will then liaise with Open Place to discuss funding needs. Open Place will subsequently get in touch with the clients to
confirm counselling arrangements with Insight Clinic. Once funding has been approved, sessions with one of our qualified counsellors can commence, supporting Forgotten Australians on their path to recovery and well-being.

VOCAT (Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal) Counselling for Victims of Crime

Our VOCAT (Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal) counselling sessions offer compassionate support and guidance to those affected by crime. Our experienced counsellors provide a safe space to explore emotions, process trauma, and develop coping strategies, aiming to help victims rebuild their lives and regain a sense of control.

Eligibility Requirements for VOCAT-Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) Clients:

To be eligible for VOCAT-funded counselling, the following criteria must be met:

The crime must be an act of violence, including but not limited to:

  • Physical assault
  • Sexual assault
  • Domestic or family violence
  • Armed robbery
  • Kidnapping
  • Stalking
  • Threats of violence

The crime must have occurred in Victoria.

The applicant must be:

  • A primary victim (directly injured as a result of the crime)
  • A secondary victim (witness to the crime or close family member of a primary victim)
  • A related victim (dependent or close family member of a deceased victim)

The crime must have been reported to the police unless there is a valid reason for non-reporting.

The client must have suffered physical, emotional, or psychological harm due to the crime.

The application must be lodged within two years of the crime, unless exceptional circumstances apply.way.

Transport Accident Commission (TAC) – Funding for Counselling.

At Insight Clinic, we offer counselling sessions under TAC, the Transport Accident Commission, which supports individuals injured in transport accidents in Victoria. TAC provides funding for services like ours to help you recover and maintain well-being. To access our counselling services through TAC, first, confirm your eligibility with the Commission. After approval, contact us to schedule an appointment,  and inform us that you’ll be using TAC funding. We’ll assist you with the necessary documentation and guide you through the process, ensuring you receive the support you need for your recovery.

 

To access TAC-funded counselling, the following criteria must be met, and documents must be provided:

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The mental health condition must be linked to a transport accident.
  • The individual must have a TAC claim number.
  • TAC must approve psychological treatment before sessions commence and provide us with an approval letter.

Required Documents:

  • TAC claims number and insurer details.
  • TAC approval letter outlining the number of sessions approved.
  • Signed consent form allowing communication between the provider and TAC.

WORK COVER PROVIDER – Workcover Approved Counselling at Insight Clinic

At Insight Clinic, we provide counselling sessions approved under Workcover, supporting individuals who have sustained injuries at work. Workcover funding is available to help with recovery and mental well-being. To access our services, check your eligibility with Workcover and obtain approval for counselling. Once approved, contact us to book a session, letting us know you’re using Workcover funding. We will assist you with all the necessary paperwork and guide you through the process, ensuring you receive the professional care you need during your recovery.

 

To be eligible for WorkCover-funded counselling, the following criteria and documents are required:

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The injury or mental health condition must be work-related.
  • A valid WorkCover claim number must be provided.
  • Approval from the WorkCover insurer for psychological treatment.

Required Documents:

  • WorkCover claim number and insurer details (e.g., WorkSafe Victoria).
  • Referral letter (if required) from a GP, psychiatrist, or treating physician.
  • Approval letter from the WorkCover insurer specifying the number of approved sessions.
  • Signed consent form allowing the therapist to liaise with the insurer if needed.
