Pets Policy for Insight Clinic Mental Health Services

At Insight Clinic Mental Health Services, we strive to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all clients, staff, and visitors. To ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of everyone, we have established the following Pets Policy:

Assistance and Service Dogs
We welcome assistance dogs and service dogs that are specifically trained to support clients with disabilities or other medical needs during their visits. These animals play a vital role in enabling individuals to access the services they require and are exempt from the restrictions outlined in this policy.

Untrained Animals and Other Pets
While we understand the strong bond individuals share with their pets, any other pets or untrained animals are not permitted on the premises, including snakes, cats, birds, or any other non-service animals. This policy applies to all our locations and is essential for the following reasons:

1. Health and Safety Concerns:
Animals that are not trained as service animals may present potential health or safety risks, including allergies, bites, or unexpected behavior that could cause distress to other clients or staff.

2. Shared Spaces and Duty of Care:
Insight Clinic operates in premises shared with other businesses, their customers, and staff. As a tenant, we have a duty of care to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone using the shared facilities. The presence of untrained animals may create challenges in maintaining this responsibility.

3. Professional Environment:
As a professional mental health clinic, it is important to maintain an environment conducive to therapy and support. Untrained animals may inadvertently disrupt sessions or create distractions that impact the therapeutic process.

4. Locations
Insight Clinic Mental Health Services operates from multiple locations where facilities are shared with other businesses. These spaces include communal areas such as waiting rooms, hallways, and parking areas. As part of our agreements with landlords and neighbouring tenants, we are committed to maintaining a professional and respectful environment for everyone.

5. Exceptions
If you have a unique situation or specific concerns related to this policy, please contact our administrative team prior to your visit. We are committed to accommodating our clients' needs while ensuring the safety and comfort of all.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy, which is designed to protect the well-being of all who visit and work at our clinic. Thank you for helping us create a safe and supportive space for everyone.
