Consultation Fee Policy
At Insight Clinic, we value the time and expertise of our clinicians. To ensure fairness and consistency, the following policy applies to all consultations:
1. Fee for Service:
All consultations, including those requested by family members or caregivers, are considered professional services and will incur the standard consultation fee.
2. Appointment Requirement:
Consultations must be scheduled in advance. Walk-in or unscheduled consultations cannot be accommodated.
3. No Exceptions:
We regret that we are unable to waive fees for any consultation, regardless of the nature or duration of the meeting.
Please see below the laws governing this policy in Australia, including the Australian Consumer Law, which ensures the right of clinicians to be compensated fairly for their services, and the Fair Work Act 2009, which supports clinicians’ entitlement to fair remuneration for their professional work. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain fairness and transparency.
Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth): Clinician’s Right to Compensation
• Ensures that clinicians have the right to request fair remuneration for their professional services, including consultation fees.
• Supports policies that uphold the value of clinicians’ time, expertise, and effort.
The Australian Consumer Law (ACL), under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), provides the following protections related to clinicians’ right to compensation:
• Section 18 (Misleading or Deceptive Conduct): Prevents businesses from engaging in misleading or deceptive conduct in relation to pricing and fees, ensuring that clinicians can transparently charge for their services.
• Section 29 (False or Misleading Representations about Services): Prohibits false or misleading representations about the services provided, including the nature and cost of those services, ensuring clinicians are fairly compensated.
• Section 54 (Guarantee as to Due Care and Skill): Ensures that services are provided with reasonable care and skill, justifying the right for clinicians to be compensated for their professional expertise.
This policy ensures that we can continue to provide high-quality care to all our clients. If you have any questions or wish to book a consultation, please contact us at 03-9110 10 49.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
